Eco Fashion Footwear using Wood Pulp!

Wicked Hemp footwear entered into the Green/Eco market in March 2008 with the first hemp hikers with success during a challenging market place in the footwear sector.

Realizing that retailers/consumer is searching for products that are not the same ho hum product. Also those consumers are searching for green products that are stylized to their personal style.

So Wicked Hemp has developed a new material in footwear with its WOOD PULP line. With several years of research develop classic to contemporary styling using combination upper materials of wood pulp and hemp. Double use of green material’s.

The wood pulp is mechanically compressed and the extruded into wood pulp fiber strands. Made with out using toxic chemicals, only using water to clean the pulp. Also made from wood chips of quality-aged trees of spruce, pine, and hemlocks.

The line is made up of men and women’s styles from loafer, sandals, and wedges.
With the uppers being totally green the outsoles in the men’s line are re cycled tires.

Comfort is in all styles with re moveable insoles that have re cycled sponge pads on the heels and metatarsals.

The line will initially be sold to leading green/eco stores and several e-com sites, and then rolled out to select dept. stores

Product will be in stores during the first half 2009.
